Fucking hell. Of course I manage to get sick, like, just before I go to Japan in approximately six-ish days (I don’t feel like actually counting at the moment). I got no sleep last night. Well, even if I did, I didn’t notice it. I literally just rolled around for hours on end, and can practically recall every moment from laying down for bed to getting up to begrudgingly pop open some more pill bottles (here’s looking at you Ibuprofen.)
But all news this morning is not bad news. Good news has, indeed, arrived. Channel 4 has confirmed that the final series of Big Brother UK will see the return of the live internet feed, with 1000 free season passes for the first ones to sign up as a nod to the fans that have stuck by the series for so very long. Now that’s how you go out with a bang. At $21 USD, I’m seriously considering signing up come 8 June. But hot damn, I have a trip to Japan to go on, and won’t have time to watch the feed until I get back one month later. At least I’ll be able to just download the show and watch it through IRC, though.
I spent the better portion of my night looking up different train routes to 大阪学院大学 and just generally walking around my neighborhood in Osaka. The city really does look beautiful and simple. I think I am going to end up going back to visit many, many times. And if I go to graduate school for what I want to go to graduate school for, I’ll have an easy excuse to go back to Japan, instead of just admitting I’m going to flirt with naive Japanese boys.
Did I mention I’m sick? Fuck it.
